Who are we?

Makao Kwetu is a female-owned and led sustainable, boutique, custom design & construction firm founded in Kampala, Uganda with a presence in Kenya, Rwanda, and Tanzania. We are dedicated to making eco-friendly, sustainable buildings that celebrate the lives of our clients. We design not only to reduce the impact of buildings on the environment but also out of a strong desire to build structures that embody the unique lives lived inside them. With over 20 years of combined experience in the construction and design industry, we combine seasoned design professionals with young architects and builders to constantly provide fresh, up-to-date, innovative design solutions on every project.
